Extra Credits: National Bill

Regarding the national bill proposed to be law regarding what you can and can not do with gaming material.   ie: game-play commentary etc.  As for me, games are meant to be played.  Presenting your game-play experience is yours.

Game companies sell an individual the right to interact with what they have developed...they did not sell nor license the results of what someone participating in the experience uncovers.

Putting game-play in the same group as movie or radio experience, aka passive/receptive experience, would be an error.  Game-play is NOT, repeat...NOT the same as witnessing what was intended to be a story (Story though a game may be).

What gaming is, IS the act of interaction and the responses driven from the input of the gamer.

A gamer should not be, nor should ever be, prohibited from sharing that gamer's own personal gaming experience based on that gamer's decisions and actions causing a result, within that gamer's experience, during the course of natural game play by said gamer.

In other words, while movies and cinema-graphic compilations are uniquely one way, gaming experiences are entirely dependent on reactions from the target audience.  As such each potential end result, no matter how limited by potential outcomes by the developer, is completely and entirely dependent on the interaction of each individual participating in the interactive medium.

Thus, each participant's involvement in the gaming experience reflects a unique experience of the game-play possible, and is entirely the property of the person preforming said experience.

Having said that....comment on your opinion!!!!
